Podcast
A podcast for women in leadership roles who want to heal from burnout, support their wellness, grow in their career, and lead themselves first.
An inspirational podcast for women in leadership and entrepreneurship
The Happy LeadHer podcast is for women who want to have real conversations around things like burnout, managing stress, finding fulfillment, and navigating the business world as female leaders.
Whether you work in corporate, a startup, or running your own business, The Happy LeadHer will give you tips from wellness experts, badass entrepreneurs, and women just like you. If you’ve been looking for a community of women who are ready to take bold action and support each other along the way, you’re in the right place.
Meet your host, Lindsay May
After leading teams in corporate and startups most of my career, I learned that not only does it get lonely at the top — it can get quite toxic. I was working 10-12 hours a day consistently, experiencing extreme burnout, and even had near-daily panic attacks for years.
In December of 2022, I decided that I was no longer willing to compromise my peace, mental health, and happiness for a paycheck. I launched my own SEO and website firm, The Happy Marketing Co., soon after.
I’m now on a mission to help women in leadership roles feel less lonely, find fulfillment, get practical tips for their health, and evolve as leaders in the business world through The Happy LeadHer podcast and blog. And yes, I also share my dating experiences — which you can get inspired by or live vicariously through me. We’re in this together, friend!
xx, Lindsay

Ep. 27: Making Business Decisions & Dating During Your Cycle w/the Menstrual Mogul
Should you be making big business decisions while on your period? Should you go on dates while in your ovulatory phase? And when is the best time to skip meetings during the month? On today's episode, I'm chatting with Jacqueline — AKA the Menstrual Mogul.
Ep. 26: How to Hire Your Dream Team in 2024 w/Caroline Pennington
Are you an entrepreneur ready to hire your team? In today's episode, I chat with Caroline Pennington, an Executive Search Recruiter, podcast host of the Feminine Founder, and the founder of an incredible product that (hint, hint) is made for wine.
Ep. 25: What the First Year of Entrepreneurship is REALLY Like (no B.S.)
In today's episode, I'm going to give you a rundown of what year one looks like when you're starting the business. The raw, the happy, the emotional, the freaking stressed out. Again, the no-bullshit answer. Because I worked so freaking hard. And I almost gave up a few times, like, seriously, I was like looking for full-time jobs at some point. And I was so scared that this wasn't going to work out. And I'm going to be super, super transparent with you.
Ep. 24: Finding Confidence & Overcoming Photo Shoot Fear w/Crystal Rojas
In this episode, I interview Crystal Rojas of The Creators Collective, who is a badass photographer in Denver, Colorado. And I worked with Crystal to get my cover art images for this podcast, but also images for my website, for my brand, all the things. Listen in as we talk about gaining confidence for your brand and business.
Ep. 23: My Singles Mixer Dating Experience
I'm about to go on my first singles mixer. I'm 36 years old. I'm single. I'm looking for my husband in 2024, and I'm tired of the apps. If you're single, you probably understand what I mean when I say that because it just doesn't feel very authentic. In this episode, I share about my experience before the mixer, and come back and record about my experience.
Ep. 22: The Truth About Digital Products & Business Coaching w/Brittney CEO
In this episode, I’m sharing the transcript from a recent interview with Brittney Jones, who is better known as Brittney CEO on Instagram. This chat is SO freaking juicy because we not only talk about 2024 growth trends in social media, coaching, and digital products, we get super controversial and talk about some of the business trends that are kind of giving us the ick right now.
Ep. 21: How I Knew it was Time to Leave Corporate & Start a Business
Do you ever feel like you were made for more in your career? Like maybe you've climbed the corporate ladder your entire career and now that you're up there, now that you have an incredible job or maybe you do on paper, you're just like, what else is out there for me? This episode walks through how I knew it was time to leave corporate and start my business.
Ep. 20: Removing Roadblocks & Releasing Trauma w/Stephanie Kwong
This episode is unlike anything that I've shared on The Happy LeadHer before, because not only do I have a conversation with my guest, Stephanie Kwong, but I share a super personal experience that I had with Stephanie in the Rapid Rewire Method. Listen here.
Ep. 19: Eating 12 Grapes, Kissing a Stranger, and Getting Covid
On today's episode, I wanted to share a few things that I learned a lot about in myself, in my life, in my business while having COVID. I'm going to talk about a couple of realizations that came to me, and this is going to be a super short episode because I am still recovering from COVID and I'm going to lose my voice at any minute, but I wanted to just share a few things that came to me because I truly feel like they were life changing, like truly.
Ep. 18: Simplifying Sales and Building Solid Relationships w/Jillian Murphy
In today’s episode, I chat with Jillian Murphy — the Sales Queen. Jillian and I talk about sales trends in 2024, how to show up and sell authentically, and how to gain confidence as a new entrepreneur.
